WHAT WE DO?
A muscle balance assessment is a through and complex physical assessment of your body taking note of what is working well or not so well. It covers flexibility, strength and coordination of key body regions specific to your sport and physical activities, as well as general movement patterns.
WHY WE DO IT?
To improve your sporting performance or reduce your injury rate.
WHO WOULD BENEFIT?
Two main groups benefit from an assessment. Those who are looking to improve their performance, and those who are having regular injuries or reoccurrences of similar injuries.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
Your physiotherapist firstly undertakes a full assessment of you. This may take up to one hour. They then go through the findings and identify areas that are restricting best function or leading to injuries. A summary of these findings will be given to you with a programme of exercises to address these issues. Depending on the number and nature of the results further follow sessions may be required to resolve complex issues.
